This season's University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Cheerdance Competition is officially happening on November 17 at the Mall of Asia Arena! Pep squads and dance troupes from the eight member schools will come together not just to compete for the coveted crown but to cheer their loudest and proudest for their respective universities.

To get fans more excited for what's to come, we’ve rounded up everything we know about the eight teams' highly anticipated performances so far.

University of the East (UE) Pep Squad is going reggae.

Or at least, according to fans. In early July, the official Twitter account of the UE Pep Squad shared a closeup shot of an eye with a red/green/yellow color scheme and a silhouette of the Philippine flag. The post was simply captioned "UAAP CDC 2019," giving fans no further hints on their next routine.

Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad will thrill with a Michael Jackson number.

Per Cheer MNL, coach Randell San Gregorio hinted on a tribute to the Pop Messiah for this year's routine. He uploaded a photo on his Facebook story with the Morayta-based squad's green and gold colors plus the words "Guide us Lord. Thy will be done."

Adamson Pep Squad hints at a colorful and festive performance.

Here it is! Adamson Pepsquad's official UAAP CDC season 82 teaser.

We couldn't precisely tell the San Marcelino-based cheer team's theme for the upcoming competition. The short teaser from the squad wasn't of much help, but if we base it on previous seasons, we're pretty sure it's going to be as explosive as it gets. Maybe enough to reclaim the crown? We'll see.

University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe calls on Lady Gaga for help.

Even with a Beyoncé cameo, Gawi failed to secure a podium finish in last year's competition. But this time, Queen B has enlisted Mother Monster to help the squad bring back the crown to España. Will UST—the winningest team in the history of the event alongside UP—bring this one home?

National University (NU) Pep Squad goes patriotic.

Over the years, the NU Pep Squad has undoubtedly set a ridiculously high bar for the rest of the squads. In fact, Coach Gheeka Bernabe acknowledged the high expectations for the cheer team, being the defending champion and top contender for the past few seasons. And this time around, NU will pay homage to all Filipinos in their much-awaited routine.

As of writing, the University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad, the Ateneo Blue Babble Batallion, and the De La Salle University (DLSU) Animo Squad have yet to drop hints of their themes for the event. But with the clock winding down, we're sure to see more in the coming days so stay tuned for more updates.
