The Matrix 4 Is Happening! KEANU REEVES Set To Reprise His Role
Just when you thought the internet-conceived "Keanussance" is over, out comes another bombshell news. Warner Bros. has greenlit the production for the fourth installment in the Matrix franchise to be helmed by the returning Lana Wachowski, Variety reports.
This comes as a major surprise to fans as the studio has played around the idea of rebooting the series on multiple occasions and even considered Michael B. Jordan for the lead role.
And what would a Matrix film be without Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss? They are set to reprise their iconic roles as Neo and Trinity. However, no details about Morpheus' character (played by Laurence Fishburne) have been disclosed but it's almost certain that he'll also be part of the fourth film.

Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich made the announcement on Tuesday, saying: "We could not be more excited to be re-entering the Matrix with Lana. Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in The Matrix universe.” Production for the film will begin in 2020.
