Ma-ris. That’s what she would call me and would laughingly correct herself all the time. She was greeting everyone with her genuine smile and her bright pink suit when I first saw her. She gave us a talk about how she wanted to make the world a better place. She served us vegan for lunch right after and made sure everyone in the room was well-accommodated. We never felt intimidated but we surely felt at home in her office. We all left feeling inspired and with smiles on our faces. And I am sure that’s how she left the world too. Thank you for your leadership Ma’am Gina Lopez. You helped a lot of people. May you rest in peace. ❤️
One of the Most Beautiful Souls I have ever encountered in this Lifetime! Your passion and heart for giving back was very evident and rare. You taught me to Love and appreciate my culture, people, and country a lot more in the short time I knew you. Thank you for sharing your Light and Heart. I would always say, we need more Leaders like you. Selfless. You were too good for this World. You will forever live through all the communities and people you have touched. 🙏🏼
🙏🏼❤️ "The commitment to the betterment of others must be non-negotiable. Once you kill the betterment of others, you’re killing the soul of the country," said Gina Lopez in a 2017 interview with CNN Philippines Life.
