CHRISTINA AGUILERA Looks Back On Debut Album's 20th Anniversary
If we told you that Christina Aguilera's self-titled debut album was to turn 20 this year, you'd probably be shaking your heads in disbelief as it still feels like yesterday when we were jamming to her household hits "Genie in a Bottle", "What A Girl Wants" and "Come On Over (All I Want Is You)".
The pop star is celebrating two decades of her debut record this month and a lot of surprises are in store for us fans! She's set to re-release the album in a special edition package which will include versions of her songs we haven't heard before! Xtina also revealed that it will be up for a limited edition vinyl release.
This month marks 20 years since my debut album, Christina Aguilera, was released. In its honor, I’m so excited to announce that I am releasing xxtra special versions digitally and at my store and more on August 23rd! The pre-sale begins today. Link is in my bio! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be reliving the memories from this time period. Share your memories too with the hashtag #xxtina too so I can see and share! None of this would have been possible without your love and I am so grateful. ❤️ Xoxo
Christina asked fans to share their #XXtina stories on social media and most of them will give you a major dose of nostalgia! What were you doing when her debut album was released?
Gurl, I was 9yo when I listened to Genie in a Bottle for the first time. Then I asked my mum to buy me the record so I could get to know you more. This pic is from my diary when I was about 10, it says in portuguese: “Christina Aguilera is beautiful! I adore her!” #xxtina ❤️ pic.twitter.com/IjwefO9TOm— Andressa Teixeira (@andressat) August 13, 2019

I used to walk home 2 miles in a not well lit area every night. I taught myself I Turn to You in English and later Spanish to sing to myself so I wouldn't be afraid. #xxtina— Place in this World (@push4awarning) August 13, 2019
