Cry To JANINE BERDIN's Himig Handog 2019 Entry "Sa'yong Mundo"
If you woke up today feeling like you're in need of a good cry, then Janine Berdin's Himig Handog 2019 entry titled "Sa'yong Mundo" is required listening. Composed by Noah Zuniga, the song laments the aftermath of a breakup, when ex-lovers try to move on and remove themselves from each other's lives.
In an exclusive interview with Zuniga, he revealed that "Sa'yong Mundo" was actually meant for an indie film which did not push through. "Nung nag-announce yung Himig Handog about the competition, [saka ko tinapos] yung song," he explained.
Janine first joined the annual songwriting competition as an interpreter in 2018. She went on to win 4th Best Song and Star Music Listener's Choice for "Mas Mabuti Pa" by Mhonver Lopez and Joanna Concepcion.
