The project was confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger during the multi-billion giant's recent earnings call. Other details about the series are yet to be disclosed.
Macaulay Culkin, who played the iconic role for two films (1990's Home Alone and 1992's Home Alone: Lost in New York) shared his reaction about the upcoming reboot via Instagram. "This is what an updated Home Alone would actually look like," he jokingly wrote.
Aside from the Home Alone franchise, Disney is also looking to reboot Night at the Museum, Cheaper by the Dozen and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
