CHANCE THE RAPPER (Finally!) Reveals Release Date For "The Big Day" Album
Over the past years, Chance the Rapper kept us well fed with constant releases of singles, collaborations and mixtapes, but never a full-length album, or owbum—as he would like to call it. However, the long wait will finally come to a thunderous crescendo once Chano drops his debut album The Big Day on July 26!
Chance revealed the details of his long-awaited project during an appearance in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Aside from announcing the album title and release date, the Grammy-award winning artist also revealed the artwork. Suffice to say, he made the long wait worth our while.
In an interview with Zane Lowe, Chano talked about the inspiration behind The Big Day. "The whole album has been inspired by the day that I got married and how I was dancing that day... It was the hardest I ever danced in my life and I’m a great longtime dancer. Everything in it is all the different styles of music that make me want to dance and remind me of that day and remind me of that night and all those people that were there."
Here's a closer look at the sparkly CD inside. You're welcome.
