OPM rock icon Rico Blanco has done everything there is to do in the music scene. With a storied career spanning almost three decades and numerous accolades under his belt, he's already cemented his legacy in the world of OPM, hence his hiatus in 2017.

"By the end of 2016, I asked myself ‘when does it really stop?’ And don’t get me wrong, I was so thankful that the blessings kept coming, but then the question I kept asking myself was ‘when do I get to do those other things I always said I would do?’ So despite being counter-intuitive, on January 1, 2017, I made a decision to choose work that was fun and interesting to me – not work that was part of some strategy or work that would lead to an even bigger plan or goal; I realized I had more than what I needed, and that I found this certain… contentment," Rico shared exactly what made him decide to set some things aside.

But you know what they say, you'll always come back to your first love. And for Korics, it has been and it will always be music. The former Rivermaya frontman is celebrating his return to the scene with a bang and this time around, he's not alone. Rico has recruited red hot trio IV of Spades - composed of Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga and Badjao De Castro - for a brand new song.

Their collab is entitled "Nagbabalik" which is very fitting since it marks the veteran singer-songwriter's comeback after two years of inactivity. The song was written by Rico in 2016 and produced by both him and the boys. Watch out for the track tonight at 7PM!

The "Your Universe" hitmaker has always had an eye for great talent and he sees that in IVOS. In fact, he's so impressed with the young band's musical creativity and work ethic. "IV of Spades are amazing studio musicians – at par with all of the top session musicians I’ve had the pleasure of recording with; it’s more than noteworthy to share that we literally recorded everything in just a few hours."

Aside from their collaboration "Nagbabalik", Rico and IV of Spades are also gearing up for their major concert happening on August 3 at the Metrotent Convention Center.
