'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Would Have Featured First Look At "Falcon Cap"
Avengers: Endgame has signaled the changing of the guard in the MCU as the co-captains of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes are no more. Now, it's time to usher in Phase 4.
Spider-Man: Far From Home's creative executive revealed the idea for Sam Wilson aka Falcon (played by Anthony Mackie) to make a brief cameo in the film in his new red, white and blue colors. It would've marked the first time we'll be seeing him taking over the Captain America mantle after Steve Rogers passed the torch, or should we say the shield to him. Ultimately, plans changed as they felt it would've diverted the attention away from lead star Tom Holland.
"We briefly talked about bringing in Falcon as Captain America at the end, like maybe once Peter’s arced, and he’s sort of like leading the team, like maybe he calls in a favour," Eric Caroll told ComicBook.
