BILLIE EILISH Doesn't Like Being Labelled As New "Face Of Pop"
Ever since her popularity skyrocketed last year, fans have dubbed Billie Eilish as the new "face of pop" but the American singer-songwriter apparently isn't too fond of the moniker.
The When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? artist sat down with Vogue Australia and revealed she doesn't exactly enjoy all the praise and applause she's been getting. "As grateful as I am for the appreciation and the love, honestly, I’ve become numb to it," she explained.
She added, "I remember the first couple of times people called me the face of pop or pop’s new It girl or whatever the fuck… it kind of irked me."
Billie also said she'd like to use her "influence" to tackle more important issues. "There are so many things I wish I could snap my fingers and make better. There is so much that needs help and [there are] people who pretend they care and don’t and [then] people who could do something, but don’t."
