DAVE BAUTISTA Would Be Down To Play Bane In 'The Batman'
Guardians of the Galaxy star and pro wrestling icon Dave "The Animal" Bautista said he'd be down to play the iconic Batman baddie Bane in the upcoming new trilogy to be directed by Matt Reeves.
Responding to a fan on Twitter who pitched the brilliant idea to him, Big Dave simply said "I accept". It would be a great casting choice if ever, considering Bane's origin of being a luchador/wrestler himself.
I accept! https://t.co/ts6DnBvj8W— Dave Bautista (@DaveBautista) June 12, 2019
The character was previously portrayed by Venom actor Tom Hardy in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises.
@prattprattpratt You’re the best dude!! 🙏🏼This is something I would never in a million years do!! Which is why I suck! 😖 ..thanks for having the insight to realize that little moments like this are really special. And projects like this are historic. I’m proud AF to be part of the @marvelstudios family. #dreamchaser... p.s. this was a #repost from @prattprattpratt
Meanwhile, Dave's next big Marvel project after the box office juggernaut Avengers: Endgame will be the third installment in the 'GOTG' saga which will see the return of director James Gunn who got fired in August 2018 for his controversial tweets.
