LIAM PAYNE Says His 1D Days Were An "Absolute Blast" Yet "A Little Bit Toxic"
No matter how heartbroken we felt when the remaining members of One Direction decided to go their separate ways, we somehow understood how the gravity of fame has taken a toll on their lives.
Liam Payne, in an interview with Men's Health Australia, admits that although he had an "absolute blast" as part of the boyband, "there were certain parts of it where it just got a little bit toxic" that even being in the company of his best buddies Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik was not of much help.
He confides, "When you’re doing hundreds and hundreds of [concerts] and it’s the same 22 songs at the same time every single day, even if you’re not happy, you’ve got to go out there. It’s almost like putting the Disney costume on before you step up on stage and underneath the Disney costume I was pissed quite a lot of the time because there was no other way to get your head around what was going on."
