INIGO PASCUAL Takes First Step Toward International Career
When we first talked to Inigo Pascual on his first day as a MYX VJ, he proudly claimed that he's not just after creating good music, but music that will take OPM into the global limelight.
Since then, the 21-year-old had been busy racking up his musical résumé with international collaborations: a song cover with Alex Aiono and a new single with Wengie from BTS hitmaker Melanie Fontana. And as it turns out, these were just a sneak peek of his preparations towards world domination.
In fact, the hitmaker recently flew to New York with Kiana Valenciano and the rest of Tarsier Records—an underground record label focused on collating the very best of the Philippines’ electronic, pop and urban sounds—to participate in an artist showcase to celebrate the end of the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. In the same event, both Filipino artists were "asked to participate or be considered in future music opportunities ranging from radio appearances to music licensing opportunities that will further expand their goals in getting their music heard on a mainstream level throughout the world."
In an accompanying video, Inigo admitted that he's nervous "as heck" yet confident with his and Kiana's arsenal. But the thing he's most excited about is "being able to share music that we created." Watch it below.
Inigo is set to drop a new track titled "Options" on June 28. Stay tuned as more information about Inigo's journey to international superstardom becomes available.
