JAMES REID Says Second Careless Music Manila Mixtape Is "Almost Finished"
Just when we're about to demand new music from James Reid and his Careless Music Manila crew, he comes through with some good news.
Speaking to Inquirer.net, James revealed that a sophomore mixtape is "almost finished." An underground artist collective, CMM prides itself with a variety of up-and-coming talents hailing from different parts of the Philippines, showcasing different musical genres. In fact, for their next demonstration, James said that they've been working on around 20 songs with 15 to 20 artists.
"We’ve given the spotlight to artists that are out in Cebu, Dumaguete, and Davao," he said. "They’re all really talented. We just want to give them that push. We want to help bring those artists into the limelight."
Although the next mixtape is scheduled to be rolled out "in a month or two," the CMM crew still couldn't help but tease fans with new music. In fact, just three days ago, a little sneak peek of a new track from Curtismith which seems to be titled "Soju" was uploaded via Instagram.
And behind-the-scenes footage from James and Nadine Lustre's visit to South Korea to shoot a music video for a song called "Risky" with DJ-producer Avin keep appearing on our feed.
Indeed, new CMM music is on the way, and it promises to blow our minds!
