'Avengers: Endgame' May Not Surpass 'Avatar' Global Record After All!
Things were looking great for Marvel Studios' latest blockbuster Avengers: Endgame with a majority of critics predicting the film would become the highest-grossing movie of all time, but that doesn't seem to be the case now.
According to BoxOffice Media analyst Shawn Robbins, the hype for the film surprisingly slowed down after being on a roll for two weeks. The team-up film—now approaching the end of its theatrical run—currently has 2.62 billion dollars under its belt while James Cameron's 2009 hit Avatar, which has held the accolade for 10 years now, still sits atop the global box office record throne with 2.78 billion.
On the bright side, 'Avengers 4' actually snapped Avatar's record in the US box office, which is already an impressive feat even if it doesn't surpass its global record.
