'Titanic' Director JAMES CAMERON Applauds Feat Of 'Avengers: Endgame'
We reported a few days back that Avengers: Endgame has officially toppled down Titanic's long standing box office record and is now the number two highest-grossing film of all time.
Now, the director of the 1997 blockbuster finally broke his silence. In an Instagram post, James Cameron graciously accepted defeat and congratulated the folks behind the Marvel Studios juggernaut for its incredible feat.
"To Kevin (Feige) and everyone at Marvel, an iceberg sank the real Titanic. It took the Avengers to sink my Titanic. Everyone here at Lightstorm Entertainment salutes your amazing achievement. You've shown that the movie industry is not only alive and well, it's bigger than ever!" Cameron wrote.
Just because the spoiler ban is lifting, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat your fellow humans with respect and dignity during discourse. Or that you should run around intentionally trying to spoil the movie for people who haven’t seen it. Be courteous and give folks fair warning... #BeKindOutThere #NuffSaid
Another James Cameron masterpiece Avatar remains on the coveted throne with 2.8 billion dollars worldwide, but critics say it's almost certain that 'Avengers 4' will snatch the honor even before the end of its run in cinemas.
