DOTTY'S WORLD Takes Us To A World Full Of Feels In "You And Me"
Last October, Universal Records signed OPM up-and-comers Dotty's World to a major record deal and they are more than ready to make waves in the local music scene with their fresh and youthful sound.
The six-piece pop alternative band (formerly "Dotty Chan") – composed of Deloris Chan, Chen Pangan, Mavie Manlutac, Ethan Chan, Japo Casilang and Nico Cuevas - has only been together for two years now. Though the members are still relatively young, you can't just underestimate and deny their passion for music.
The band just released their debut track called "You and Me" and it's definitely going to take you to a world full of feels. According to 17-year-old Dotty who wrote the song, it talks about the pain of one-sided relationships. "Yung song kasi tungkol sa isang tao na pinipilit ipaglaban at ayusin yung relationship kahit na yung isa sumuko na." Aww.
But where exactly does she draw the inspiration in writing such songs considering her young age? Apparently, it's often based on her friends' experiences and from the novels she reads.
