NOAH CENTINEO Reportedly In Talks For Sony's Live Action 'He-Man' Reboot
To All The Boys I've Loved Before star Noah Centineo has instantly become a hot commodity in Hollywood after the Nelflix film's success. In fact, he has several projects all lined up, including The Perfect Date and the Charlie's Angels reboot and now, he's apparently landed yet another huge role for Sony Pictures' upcoming Masters Of The Universe reboot.
First reported by The Wrap, Noah is said to be in talks to play the iconic '80s character He-Man in the film reboot. This will come 30 years after the release of the original 'MOTU' film starring Dolph Lundgren. No other details about the project have been disclosed.
Fans shared their opinions on social media regarding the "interesting" casting choice and it isn't going great so far.
Can we at least wait until we see Noah Centineo buffed up and in full character as He-Man before we judge him as the new He-Man? When that dude is He-Man jacked and his hair is blonde, I think he's gonna look perfect. Inspired casting is typically not the obvious casting.— John Squires (@FreddyInSpace) March 20, 2019
This has to be a mistake, right? If he’s Prince Adam, yes. But HE-MAN? What.— Haris (@harrishako) March 21, 2019
I don't mind Noah Centineo but I have trouble picturing him as the hulking blonde He-Man.— Scott Stamper (@DerfelMacGuffin) March 20, 2019
And I’m a huge He-Man fan, and have been since the show first aired in the 80s, so it means something to me that Mattel get this movie right, and that starts with a better casting than Noah Centineo for the role of He-Man#MastersOfTheUniverse #HeMan pic.twitter.com/8cGGzXSMKL— The Cali Nerd 🔜 WonderCon (@TheCaliNerd) March 20, 2019
He-Man first rose into prominence via Mattel's "Masters Of The Universe" toyline in the early '80s. It was so popular that it spawned an animated series and became a main fixture during the peak of the Saturday Morning Cartoons era in the US.
