TEDDY CORPUZ Switches From Rockstar To Leading Man In 'Papa Pogi'!
Rocksteddy frontman Teddy Corpuz is ready to switch from a rockstar to a bonafide leading man as he's set to star in his own comedy film under Regal Films entitled Papa Pogi.
The pinoy rocker is no stranger to the acting world. In fact, he's appeared in various sitcoms in the past, long before his band got a break in the music industry. He also starred in Vhong Navarro's 2011 film Bulong and other film projects where he's always played a supporting character.
Yes feeling ko totoo na talaga to. Nag press con na kami kanina for our movie this March 20. Kinakabahan nako pero masaya at magandang kaba. Now pa lang napapasalamat nako kay Lord dahil you made all of this possible. Your love and your grace, ibibigay mo sa akin to Lord kaya I will continue to praise you sa simula pa lang. ❤️❤️❤️ Papa Pogi showing na ngayong March 20 in Cinemas Nationwide.
During the film's press con, the "Lagi Mo Na Lang Akong Dinededma" hitmaker said that he's a huge fan of Vhong. "Sobrang idol ko po talaga si Vhong Navarro kahit noon noon pa sinasabi ko sa kanya 'yun. Hindi ako makapaniwala na si Teddy Corpuz, isang rakista na galing sa Lagro, na hindi naman kami mga pamilya ng artista eh."
He added that there's no competition going on between him and his It's Showtime co-host. "Sobrang idol ko po si Vhong e. Para sa akin hindi po ako competition, siguro ibang flavor lang din," Teddy said.
Check out the film's official soundtrack here, sung by Teddy himself, of course!
