No One Direction stan can stop their tears from falling while listening to Louis Tomlinson's fresh single "Two of Us". The track is the 27-year-old English singer's newest ode to his late mother after releasing "Just Hold On" with Steve Aoki in 2016.

Lyrically, Louis promises his mum Johannah Deakin—who passed away in 2016 after a long battle with leukemia—that he will "be living one life for the two of us". In an interview with Radio 1 Newsbeat, he confessed that writing the emotional track was therapeutic. "I’m not at the stage in my grief where I’m going to open the first verse and burst into tears," he said. "It was something I needed to get off my chest. I used to lean on my mum for a lot of things–anytime I needed advice on something she would be the first call I made."

He added: "[But] I don’t want people to get caught up in the sadness of it. The song should be hopeful."
