Gloc-9 was so impressed with Julie Anne San Jose's performance of "Bagsakan", his hit collab with Parokya ni Edgar and Francis M, that the rap mastermind claimed it would be "an honor" to produce a rap single for the young singer.

In an exclusive interview with MYX during their video shoot for "Maleta", Gloc-9 said: "Syempre nandun na din ako sa point na gusto ko na din mai-share kung ano yung mga natutunan ko sa rap, na ma-impart ko [kay Julie Anne] yung mga 'Ganito yung mga daya d'yan.'"

Although already an icon, Gloc-9 admits that even he needs practice before getting on stage to perform a song. "Ang rule lang naman sa rap ay practice," he said, as an advice for all aspiring rappers. "Practice lang palagi, and even sa writing, mas mag-iimprove ka pag tuluy-tuloy kang nagsusulat. Practice lang."

For now, a rap song from Julie Anne is still wishful thinking. But at the very least, we get to hear her in Gloc-9's latest single "Maleta" under Universal Records.
