'Riverdale' And 'Beverly Hills, 90210' Star LUKE PERRY Dies After Massive Stroke
American actor Luke Perry, best known for his roles in hit teen dramas Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale as Dylan McKay and Fred Andrews, respectively, has died at age 52 due to complications after suffering a massive stroke last week.
Perry's publicist Arnold Robinson told TMZ that the actor died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California surrounded by his fiancé, ex-wife, peers, and other family members.
"The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning," Robinson said.
No further details about his death have been disclosed by the family.
Last Wednesday, Perry was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles, where he had been filming scenes for Riverdale at the Warner Bros. film lot.
