"Hemsworthmania" is set to run wild very soon, brother! It's just been revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that Chris Hemsworth has landed the role of wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan for a new biopic which will premiere on Netflix.

The flick is said to be documenting the humble beginnings and rise to fame of one Terry Gene Bollea, more commonly known by his ring name Hulk Hogan.

Multi-time WWE champion "The Hulkster" is arguably one of the biggest figures not only in wrestling but in pop culture as well and was responsible for bringing mainstream attention to the sport, giving birth to the wrestling boom and the "Rock and Wrestling connection" of the 1980s. He even appeared in movies such as 1989's No Holds Barred and 1993's Mr. Nanny.

Wrestling and movie fans had mixed reactions about the said biopic and the Thor star's casting.

No other details about the flick have been disclosed yet. All we know for now is that the film will be directed by Todd Phillips, who is currently working on Joaquin Phoenix's standalone Joker flick. Hemsworth, on the other hand is set to appear in Men In Black International and Avengers: Endgame.
