Have We Been Singing BLINK-182's "What's My Age Again" Wrong All This Time?
Have we been singing Blink-182’s “What’s My Age Again” wrong all this time? Mark Hoppus’ recent tweet seemed to set the record straight and reminded us how we should sing their 1999 hit!
While many of us thought the line was “I walk alone to get the feeling right” (which in hindsight makes no sense whatsoever), the band's only remaining original member says it's actually “I wore COLOGNE to get the feeling right”. Take a look at Mark’s tweet that bewildered us all below!
Due to personal reasons I will be wearing cologne to get the feeling right.— mark hoppus. (@markhoppus) February 17, 2019
Of course, some of the Blink-182 fans online shared their reactions about this.
When I first heard what's my age again, way back, I genuinely thought mark sang "I walk alone, to get the feeling right".— Jack Lamyman (@jack_lamyman) February 17, 2019
I always used to think it was walk alone to get the feeling right.— Johno-Born (@Johno_37) February 17, 2019

No no no ...”you walked alone to get the feeling right”. How can you forget your own lyrics, man?!— 😻Brittany😻 (@MizzBritt51785) February 17, 2019
Mark Hoppus posted a follow-up tweet, saying that anyone who didn't know the real words is a “Fake Fan”!
Science fact: if you thought the lyrics were “I WALK ALONE to get the feeling right,” you are a Fake Fan™️.— mark hoppus. (@markhoppus) February 17, 2019
