MANDY MOORE Opens Up About "Unhealthy Dynamic" During Marriage To RYAN ADAMS
Mandy Moore has opened up about her relationship with ex-husband Ryan Adams. This comes one week after several claims of sexual misconduct from different women, including the This Is Us star, were pointed towards the singer-songwriter.
In a recent appearance on the WTF podcast, Mandy revealed more details about their "abusive" relationship, admitting the "unhealthy dynamic" during their six-year marriage.
"I was living my life for him," the A Walk To Remember singer-actress shared. Later adding, "It (was) an entirely unhealthy dynamic. I had no sense of self.” She continued, “I felt like I was drowning. It was so untenable and unsustainable and it was so lonely. I was so sad. I was lonely with him."
She also revealed Adams' controlling behavior which ultimately led to her projects being compromised. “I would do little jobs. It’s not like I completely stopped working. I would do things here or there, but it would become abundantly clear while I was working, things would completely fall apart at home.”
“I couldn’t do my job because there was a constant stream of trying to pay attention to this person who needed me and wouldn’t let me do anything else,” she added. Check out the full interview below.
In a latest statement released by his lawyer, Ryan has denied the “extremely serious and outlandish accusations”, saying they were "grousing by disgruntled individuals” who blamed the singer for “personal or professional disappointments".
