Up-and-comer Rice Lucido recently released her debut album under O/C Records entitled Hele Ng Maharlika and all we can say is, you better keep a close eye on the singer for it's only a matter of time before more people notice her immense talent.

I made a vow to pursue a path that will fulfill the essence of my being and becoming and true enough, slowly, it is being manifested. This time it wasn’t just me, I had a tribe. These talented and amazing musician friends helped in the curation of my album, without them I wouldn’t be able to reach the kind of growth I have today. You guys are extraordinary. One of a kind. A few of the truest ones πŸŒΏπŸ‘ŒπŸΎ More collaborations to come! ✨😘 •••••••• Thank you @ocrecordsph for giving us the freedom to prosper on our own ways. According to Rice, the 10-track album is about one's journey to self discovery. "It's a constant search of bakit pinagdadaanan mo yung mga pinagdadaanan mo."
When asked about the title, Rice shared it was inspired by the pre-colonial word "maharlika". "I thought of that kasi most of my songs are about regaining power and identity."
