TONI GONZAGA Talks About The First Man Who Broke Her Heart In Latest Vlog
It's no secret to those who follow their respective careers that 'sissums' Toni and Alex Gonzaga have abided by their parents' rules and standards for many years. In fact, people admire the two and consider them role models for that.
From bringing and fetching tipints everyday in the office to joinning Ate in every audition up to jotting down Chambe’s views on youtube every hour, you are the most supportive dad a daughter could ever asked for! Happy birthday daddy!! It’s now our time to give back all the support and love you deserve! You will always be my TATAY from TAYTAY! We Love you Bonoy!!!
In her latest vlog entry entitled "The First Man Who Broke My Heart" - uploaded in time for Daddy Bonoy's birthday - the Ultimate Multimedia Star opened up about her parents' strict ways which had a huge impact in shaping her values and beliefs not only as a woman, but now as a parent herself.
The father and daughter tandem are seen casually chatting in their car with Mommy Pinty in the background. They were jumping from one topic to another as the conversation gradually got deeper and more personal.
When Toni asked why she and Alex were not allowed to have boyfriends when they were younger, Daddy Bonoy simply said he didn't want her daughters to end up in regret. "Kasi ayaw namin kayo magsisi." Later adding, "Yung kung ano ‘yung magustuhan ninyo... Hindi pa kaya bumabalanse. Kayo kasi, ‘pag teenager pa, puro damdamin ‘yan, e."
The Gonzaga patriach also explained to Toni why he gave Paul Soriano the cold shoulder when they were still dating. “Kailangan makita niya na mayroong nagpo-protekta sa inyo. Lahat ng ama, ‘pag ang anak nila ay babae at may nanliligaw, sinusuri ng lahat ng magulang ‘yan. Dapat diyan bina-bluff kaagad,” he said.
In the latter part of the video, Daddy Bonoy candidly revealed his disapproval of some of Toni's ex-suitors (the names were bleeped in the video), even stating his reasons why he advised against them.
Toni ended the vlog by saying: “I realized that the pain of discipline is better than the pain of regret. The man who I thought broke my heart before was actually the one who saved my heart from being broken so many times.”
We're pretty sure a lot of you will relate to her story. Check out Toni's latest vlog entry below:
