Netflix is reportedly "closing in on a deal" to acquire Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile—the much-awaited biopic of America's notorious serial killer Ted Bundy starring Zac Efron. Consequently, the platform plans to give the film an awards-season theatrical run in the fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It was sort of a no-brainer that the digital streaming platform would go after Extremely Wicked. After all, it already has on its inventory the docuseries Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes which director Joe Berlinger also helmed.

The film looks back on the beginnings of Ted's relationship with girlfriend Liz Kloepfer (played by Lily Collins) and the cookie crumbs that left her suspicious yet still unconvinced of the underlying truth about her beau. If that made you excited, check out the trailer to Extremely Wicked below.
