A ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot Is In Early Discussions
Nothing says February like a brand new revelation from your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite. As you might have heard, Upper East Siders, there might be a Gossip Girl reboot on our way!
TVLine reports that CW President Mark Pedowitz revealed during the the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour that "there's been discussion" on reviving the popular teen drama.
Is that a smile we see on your lips? Well, don't be so sure yet.
The network boss said that a Gossip Girl reboot is still "up to Warner Bros. and [executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage], because you don't want to do anything without them."
So while this isn’t set in stone just yet, you might as well pray to the gods that the cast members will return to their original roles. We couldn't picture anyone better to play Manhattan's elite than Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley.
