TAKING BACK SUNDAY Made Manila Emo Again At 20th Anniversary Concert!
Our emo selves came back out during the 20th anniversary concert of veteran American rock band Taking Back Sunday at the New Frontier Theater which was witnessed by thousands of their Filipino fans.
Obviously, the band brought full-blast nostalgia to music fans of different generations, playing the entire 2002 album Tell All Your Friends during the first part of their show.
Vocalist Adam Lazzara doing his signature flawless mic swings while performing onstage will always be magnificent to see. After playing hits like “A Decade Under The Influence”, “Error: Operator”, and “Flicker, Fade”, TBS treated their fans with “This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)”, a song they don’t normally include on their set list!
And just when everybody thought the night wouldn’t be any more special, Adam paused for a while and explained to the crowd that they are including “…Slowdance on the Inside” for their set here in Manila!
Taking Back Sunday thanked their loyal supporters for coming to the 20th anniversary show and ended the set strong with “All Ready To Go” and the ever famous “Makedamnsure”. Everyone really had a wild time, “in the best way”! Thanks for the music, Taking Back Sunday!
