CHRIS BROWN After Being Released Without Rape Charges: "This Is False And A Whole Lot Of Crap!"
Ai dela Cruz
Chris Brown defended himself on Instagram shortly after being released without charges in Paris. French police questioned him overnight over an aggravated rape accusation and possible drug infractions, the New York Times reports.
His first post, which now has over one million likes, was a photo of his "THIS B!TCH LYIN'" shirt design from his own Black Pyramid brand, which he first launched in 2016 following his arrest on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
It was accompanied by a caption in all caps denying the allegations: "I wanna make it perfectly clear—this is false and a whole lot of crap! Never! For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!"
The statement comes after a 24-year-old woman filed a rape complaint against the "Undecided" singer who was in the French capital for Paris Men's Fashion Week. According to her testimony, she met Chris in a nightclub and was invited to his hotel room along with other women. But then she found herself alone with the R&B singer who allegedly raped her in that room. She added that a friend and a bodyguard of Chris also abused her (via Closer).
Raphael Chiche, Chris' French lawyer, threatened to file a countersuit for defamation. "Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris," he tells TMZ.
According to the news outfit, the 29-year-old musician maintains his innocence and "claims he was set up by the 24-year-old model" and "insists he was playing music off his iPhone in the living room of the suite with 20 people around him the entire time."
Meanwhile, Breezy seems to be getting back to the grind as he posted a video of himself, dancing at LAX Dance Studio in Paris a few hours after his release despite being free to leave the country.
