The Chainsmokers can die happy now—at least that's what they said after recording with blink-182, whom they've been very vocal about being fans of!

Remember that line in the DJ duo's hit song "Closer": "Stay and play that blink-182 song that we beat to death in Tucson"?

"Just did a session with blink182 and wrote an amazing song. We can die happy now," the duo revealed on Twitter seemingly fulfilling their promise of new music in 2019. So is blink-182 going EDM or is The Chainsmokers going rock?

Some fans, however, are questioning the American band's choice of collaboration. "Why chainsmokers," one asked urging bassist Mark Hoppus to explain, to which he replied, "We've been friends with them for a few years and have tried to collaborate a bunch of different times, but today our schedules aligned and we were all in the same room at the same time."
