Shay Mitchell, who is currently in the Philippines to promote the hit Netflix series "You" alongside co-actor Penn Badgley, took some time off to visit Virlanie Foundation - a non-profit organization which reaches out to street children in the country.

In a series of Instagram posts, the 31-year-old actress revealed that she and her American friend Chloe Won - who is also known as Chloe Flower - got the chance to hang out with the kids where they played a couple of games and take photos with cool filters which she said the kids very much enjoyed.

Using her Instagram with 22.2 million followers to raise awareness about the state of the children under the care of the foundation, she wrote: "Last night, @misschloeflower and I visited the Virlanie Foundation, which is a child caring institution looking out for the welfare and empowerment of disadvantaged children. If you are around Metro Manila or nearby their office in Makati City, PLEASE drop by and help out! Anything from in-kind donations for their needs or any small donation will definitely go a long way! Help us ensure that these children all reach a better and brighter future that they so deserve."

As if her visit wasn't enough, Mitchell also shared that her friend Chloe Flower went shopping to provide supplies for the children and of course, granted the kids with some toys of their choice.

Shay Mitchell, who is known for her role as Emily Fields in "Pretty Little Liars," is also the second cousin of internationally-acclaimed Filipina artist Lea Salonga. Watch the MYXclusive video below to find out more about her roots. And yes, some exciting things to look forward to from the second season of the show.
