PARALUMAN Is Off To A Fresh Start With New Single "Hanggang Dulo"
Paraluman is starting the year fresh. The pop rock outfit behind the hit "Tabi" has been in the local music scene for the better part of the decade, winning various awards including Favorite Indie Artist at the MYX Music Awards 2009.
Sure, they've experienced their fair share of ups and downs through their 13 years together like any other artist! But now, they're determined to make 2019 theirs for the taking!
The band formally introduced their latest lineup last January 10 at The 70's Bistro - welcoming Dylan Mendoza on drums and new singer Louisse de Leon to the pack. Louisse joined the band in August 2018 after former singer Arianne left the group due to personal reasons.
Of course, it wouldn't be an all-out celebration without them dishing out well-known Paraluman hits such as "Kapitan", "How Could I", "Silong", "911" and "Bes, I Ever Had".
And to truly usher in a new chapter in the band's career, they launched a brand new single entitled "Hanggang Dulo" which has quite an intriguing backstory. According to lead guitarist Jay Macalincag, he wrote the song 10 ten years ago and it was originally intended to be his wedding song. He had no plans of releasing the song and it was his bandmates who convinced him. "It's for my wedding sana pero 'di naman natuloy. Ginamit na lang namin na material," Jay shared.
The band also excitingly revealed that they'll be shooting the track's music video real soon and it will premiere here on MYX!
But the surprises didn't stop there. They even brought former drummer and Sud member Jimbo Cuenco on stage to play one of their hit songs "Emily" to the delight of all the Batang Paraluman in attendance!
