RAMI MALEK And BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY Win Big At The 2019 Golden Globes!
It isn't just a fantasy anymore! The Queen musical biopic film Bohemian Rhapsody won big at the 2019 Golden Globes!
It's a double celebration for the film which won the coveted "Best Picture in Drama Category" trophy and the "Best Perfomance by an Actor in a Motion Picture" award in the same category for Rami Malek's brilliant and moving portrayal of the late rock superstar Freddie Mercury.
The Bryan Singer-directed film beat fellow nominees Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, If Beale Street Could Talk and A Star Is Born. Rami, on the other hand outlasted John David Washington, Willem Dafoe, Lucas Hedges and Bradley Cooper to bag the recognition.
Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor were both present during the ceremony.
Malek gave out a heartfelt acceptance speech, extending his gratitude to Queen for entrusting him with the iconic role. "Thanks to you, Brian May, Roger Taylor, for ensuring that authenticity and exclusivity exist in the music, and the world, and in all of us." And of course, he also thanked Mr. Fahrenheit himself. "Thank you to Freddie Mercury for giving me the joy of a lifetime."
