LUCY HALE Auditioned For ‘Rent: Live’ But Sadly Didn't Make The Cut
Lucy Hale is mostly known for her role in Pretty Little Liars as the spunky and fashionable Aria Montgomery. But only diehard fans would know that the 29-year-old actress is also a singer. She's starred in the teen musical A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song in 2011 and released her debut album Road Between back in 2014.

But it still came as a surprise when Lucy revealed in an interview with Parade that she had auditioned for the upcoming live television musical Rent, considering her decision to take a step back from music for a few years now. "I’ve auditioned for a couple of them, and I’ve gotten close, and then things just didn’t work out," she said, not specifying which role she was hoping to land.
Lucy doesn't seem to have ill feelings over not being picked for any role on the show as she is as excited as we all are to see it. "I think that they found a really good cast, and I’m excited to see what they do with it."
"I think at some point, it’ll work out in some way, shape, or form, but I love music, and I think that if I can find a way to utilize it through acting, I think that that more works for where I’m at in life right now. So yeah, we’ll see."
