HUGH JACKMAN Is Looking To Put On The Greatest Show For Upcoming World Tour
Ladies and gents, this is the moment you've waited for! Hugh Jackman will embark on a new musical journey which will see him performing songs from his musical films such as Les Miserables and The Greatest Showman. The Tony award-winner has reportedly done his research on how to pull off a successful show and he's all set for the tour which will begin next year.
Speaking to the Associated Press, the Wolverine actor revealed he's learning from the best, after having seen Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson's concerts in the past. "I’ve seen some of the greats and the great performers for me are the ones who can connect with the person in the back and in the front. And I’ll sometimes sit in the back ’cause I wanna know am I feeling it back here? ’Cause I’m from the theater, [so] for me everything I do has to connect to every single person."
Aside from his well-known movie hits, the Australian A-lister also looks to perform his own material. "Whether you’re a recording artist or a writer or actor, you’ve got to feel like you have something to say. I would love to do a couple of original songs. I do have some things I want to say."
Jackman gave a little preview of what fans should expect in the upcoming tour during a guest appearance on The Today Show. Check it out below!
The show dubbed as The Man. The Music. The Show. will kickstart at Hamburg, Germany in May 2019. He's also set to do shows in the UK where The Greatest Showman's soundtrack achieved the most success. The US leg of the tour, on the other hand, will begin in June 2019.
