Christmas isn't always a gleeful occasion, especially when you find yourself longing for the presence of a loved one. The iconic OPM song "Pasko Na Sinta Ko" perfectly captures the senti side of the holiday season and the story behind it will make you weep like a child.

A Facebook user named Fred Gutierrez, who happens to be a former member of the UP Concert Chorus shared a video highlighting the song's origin. The video, featuring the version of the San Miguel Master Chorale and the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra, arranged by no less than Ryan Cayabyab himself playing in the background shares a detailed story of how the song came about.

Composed by Francisco Dandan and written by UP professor Aurelio Estanislao, the heart-wrenching song was actually inspired by Gutierrez's love story with a girl named "Melba", his first love who passed in 2016. Check out the full video below and try not to cry.

Meanwhile, listen to Gary Valenciano's equally riveting version of the song.
