Davaoeño Singer-Songwriter CHUD FESTEJO Takes PhilPop 2018 Grand Prize!

The interpreters of the PhilPop 2018 Top 10 finalists gave standout live performances during the Finals Night held at the Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons. MYX VJ Ai Dela Cruz and award-winning hitmaker Jungee Marcelo hosted the fun-filled celebration of #PinoyMusicPower where three original compositions emerged triumphant.

Chud Festejo, who performed his own composition “Nanay Tatay”, won the grand prize. The Davao-based singer-songwriter went home with one million pesos.

Likewise, the music video for "Nanay Tatay" directed by Ryan Evangelista bagged the award for Best Music Video.

Jeriko Buenafe’s “Ako Ako” interpreted by Feel Day featuring Hans Dimayuga won 2nd runner-up while Ferdinand Aragon’s “Di Ko Man” won 1st runner-up.

The People's Choice Award went to Donnalyn Onilongo's "Yun Tayo" which was performed by Gracenote.

Thyro and Yumi opened the show with a PhilPop hits medley while Ben&Ben serenaded everyone before the announcement of the winners.
