"Avengers 4" Director On CHRIS EVANS: "He's Not Done Yet"
A lot of fans were left devastated when Chris Evans took to Twitter last October to post what seemed to be a farewell message to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's been an ongoing rumor that the Captain America actor is finally hanging up his vibranium shield and the tweet seemed to have sealed the deal.
Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) October 4, 2018
Now, one of the directors of Avengers 4 has addressed the exit rumors. Talking to the Associated Press, Joe Russo said. “I think it was more emotional for him than us,” adding, “Only because he’s not done yet. And I don’t want explain what that means but the audience will soon understand what I’m talking about.”
Joe also confirmed that Avengers 4 will indeed be the longest picture in the MCU and that they're still in the process of editing the flick. “We’re about halfway through the editorial process and it’s standing about three hours right now. It’s a very complicated movie. It has a lot of characters in it and you know we are putting in the work, so we’ll see where it ends up, but it definitely has a lot of story in it.”
In other Avengers news, the Marvel Studios blockbuster won the People's Choice award for "Action Movie" and "Movie of 2018".
Our first look at the fourth installment in the Avengers film franchise is expected to drop "real soon". Although the trailer's release date hasn't been confirmed yet, we better be ready for Marvel Studios could be pulling off the surprise release sooner than we think.
