Diehard fans of American author Anna Todd—her best-selling five-book After series in particular—can finally breathe a sigh of relief because the much-awaited movie adaptation's first teaser trailer is living up to expectations.

The movie follows Tessa (Josephine Langford) a dedicated student, dutiful daughter and loyal girlfriend to her high school sweetheart, as she enters her first semester in college. Armed with grand ambitions for her future, her guarded world opens up when she meets the dark and mysterious Hardin (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin), a magnetic, brooding rebel who makes her question all she thought she knew about herself and what she wants out of life.

The film’s tagline claims: “After your first, life will never be the same”—and if the one-minute teaser is any indication, expect the two stars to get hot and steamy more than a few times all throughout the film. It's just fair warning.

After is set to premiere in theaters April 12, 2019. Until then, watch the teaser trailer below.
