DUA LIPA Reuniting With MARK RONSON For Her Sophomore Album
When Dua Lipa first talked about her collaboration with Silk City with Rolling Stone, the British pop star revealed that “['Electricity' is] something different, but it does lead into some new music that I’m going to bring in my albums. It’s got some throwback elements to it; it’s dancey; it’s still a pop song."
Aside from pop mastermind Max Martin, the 23-year-old hitmaker now has the services of Mark Ronson—one-half of the dance music duo—in crafting her sophomore album. "We’re supposed to be working for her record. She’s gonna be a real, real talent around for a long time," the British record producer said.
In fact, Mark was very much impressed with Dua that he only has nice things to say about the fast-rising star. "I didn’t ask her because she’s blowing up, I asked her because she has an incredible voice and I just love the way she f**king sounds. Her vibe is so cool," he recalled of why he invited Dua to collaborate with them on "Electricity".
