MADISON BEER Turns Into A Dark Enchantress In "Hurts Like Hell" Video
Madison Beer has unveiled the bewitching video for her latest single "Hurts Like Hell" featuring Offset. The Mike Harris-directed visuals sees the 19-year-old pop starlet as a dark enchantress torturing an abusive man. “I had such a clear vision of what I wanted to do for this video,” she said in a press release. “I was inspired by witchcraft and felt that it perfectly fit with the theme of the song, which is about teaching someone a lesson.”
"I wanted to do something... that we kind of were like, when you break up with someone you hope they see you doing really well, and I hope it hurts like hell," she told Paper of the track's message. "I hope you realize that you should have given me the love that I deserve, and that you messed up."
As for her collaborator? Madison revealed, "I saw him on tour and he was my ideal person to have on the song. I really, really, really wanted him on the record. Then we sent it over to his management team, and we didn't expect to get a response at all, and we ended up getting an email the next day with Offset on the song, telling us that he loved it and that he was so excited about it and that he wants to shoot to music video with us."
"Hurts Like Hell", which is co-written by Charli XCX, is set to appear as the lead single off her upcoming album. In the meantime, watch the bewitching video for the fierce track below.
