IGGY AZALEA Says She's "Officially Unsigned"
Iggy Azalea is "officially unsigned," the Australian rapper announced via Twitter. “Wild you spend so long trying to get IN a record deal… never thought I’d be so elated to be OUT of one,” she said of her departure from Island Records after only nine months at the label. “[Now] I’m free to release whatever kinda music I like, whenever I’d like woooo!”

Now about that new music: Don't go getting crazy just yet. Iggy clarified that she still won't be able to release new tracks this year as she is "nowhere near ready [direction-wise]," but promised fans that she would definitely share new material early next year! That's good enough for us.
Well still no music this year tho...— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) November 3, 2018
Iam no where near ready direction wise etc with the stuff I’ve been working on and I don’t wanna jump the gun and have some messy era aesthetically.
I’m aiming to be ready to share new music early next year!
In February, Iggy transferred from Def Jam to Island (both part of the Universal Music Group) after a four-year delay on her supposed sophomore album Digital Distortion. She was able to release the EP Survive the Summer, but had to scrap her Bad Girls North American tour.
