These Beloved OPM Albums Just Turned 10 In 2018!
As the last quarter of 2018 approaches, we realized that many great OPM albums turned 10 this year! These albums gave birth to songs that ruled the MYX charts back then, became the soundtrack of our lives, and are still on repeat in our playlists a decade later. Let's look back at the Class of 2008 below!
Hale – Above Over And Beyond
Hale’s third studio album gave rise to the hits “Pitong Araw”, “Leap Of Faith”, and “Sandali Na Lang”
Callalily – Fisheye
When Callalily released their sophomore record 10 years ago, their single “Susundan” was heard almost everywhere. It even stayed on the MYX Charts for quite some time!
Mayonnaise – Tersera

Gary Valenciano – Rebirth
Mr. Pure Energy proved that he’s still in his prime with this notable release that included his own version of “Only Hope”!
Sandwich – S Marks The Spot
The track "Betamax - which got us all singing “Wala pa nung MYX” - won Favorite Song in the MYX Music Awards 2009. The carrier single “Procrastinator” won Favorite Music Video.

Sponge Cola – Sponge Cola
This self-titled album of Sponge Cola spawned hit single after hit single: the basketball anthem “Puso”, sorrowful “Di Na Mababawi”, and heartfelt “Makapiling Ka”. Released on the following year, the deluxe edition featured a new version of “Ayt” featuring Gary V.
Angulo – Blur The White Lines
The band celebrated the 10th anniversary of this rock album last July. Time really flies, huh.
Up Dharma Down - Bipolar
UDD's sophomore album will turn 10 next month! We're sure "Sana" and "Taya" still have a special place in your hearts until now!

Rico Blanco – Your Universe
We don't think that you even realized that Rico Blanco’s debut solo album after leaving his band Rivermaya is now 10 years old! His infectious solo singles “Yugto”, “Ayuz”, and “Antukin” made him worthy of winning Favorite New Artist award during the MYX Music Awards 2009! And yup, 10 years after Unique Salonga did almost the same thing, and Rico called his solo album "brilliant" and "he can have the torch".
