We've all been waiting for what seems like an eternity for September 19, and now it's finally here! No, we're not talking about Avril Lavigne's brand new single "Head Above Water." We still have to wait a few more hours before the new track will bless our ears. But our fave pop punk princess did release the single's artwork via her social media accounts!

She previously revealed in a heartfelt letter to fans that "Head Above Water" was about her battle with Lyme Disease. "Those were the worst years of my life as I went through both physical and emotional battles," she wrote. "I was able to turn that fight into music I’m really proud of."

"I had accepted death and could feel my body shutting down. I felt like I was drowning," she said of the track's origin. "Like I was going under water and I just needed to come up for air. Like I was in a river being pulled in a current. Unable to breathe."

She continued, "I have decided to be truthful about my struggle, open and more vulnerable than ever before. And to be honest, part of me doesn’t want to talk about being sick because I want it to all be behind me, but I know I have to."

We're ready, Avril. Bring it on!
