ASHLEY TISDALE Shares Details On Upcoming Electro-Pop Album "Symptoms"
It's been almost a decade since Ashley Tisdale released her sophomore album Guilty Pleasure, and has been pretty quiet on the music front since then. But the 33-year-old singer-actress is finally back with a new album!
Symptoms—the former High School Musical alum's first album after nine years—is the "most authentic thing I've ever done in my career," she told AOL in an exclusive interview. "It's definitely pop, but it's more pop-electro versus pop/rock or straight pop." And although the former Disney star's upcoming project will be a collection of upbeat tracks that she co-wrote herself, she said it has "a dark undertone of anxiety and depression" that the world needs at the moment.
As for a tour in support of the new album, Ashley said: "[My fans] definitely want me to tour. I want to tour. It's going to be such a different experience. [With] everything in the past, I didn't really know who I was as an artist and this I'm so proud of, so I cant wait to do that."
There's no word on an official release date for Symptoms yet, but fans can expect a new single out sometime this fall.
