Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan's sudden passing earlier this year shocked fans all over the globe. There have been numerous speculations as to what really caused her death, with some claiming she committed suicide.

Now, reports have finally determined the cause of O'Riordan's death. The singer apparently drowned after drinking an excessive amount of alcohol in her hotel bathtub. Police also discovered bottles of liquor and prescription drugs in her room. At the time, Dolores was in London with The Cranberries for a recording session.

The remaining members of The Cranberries posted an official statement on their Twitter page regarding the matter.

The band also recently announced that they'll be dropping a 25th anniversary re-issue of their debut album "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?" which will be out next month.
