Here's What To Expect From "Marvel's Iron Fist" Season 2

Like most viewers, I didn't watch the Netflix Marvel series in their release order. I thought the first season of Jessica Jones was brilliant but I ignored the rest of the shows until The Punisher came along. Really loved that one so I backtracked to Daredevil and Luke Cage which both lived up to the hype.
Then it was time for Iron Fist which didn't exactly get "glowing" recommendations from colleagues. But I couldn't just skip it and be clueless as I binged The Defenders, right? Surprisingly, I didn't hate it. I actually liked it.
As a huge Game of Thrones fan, being familiar with Iron Fist star Finn Jones' work as Ser Loras Tyrell contributed to my enjoyment of his new show. (Though I was ready to give the finger to The Hand at this point, especially that Madame Gao! Who am I kidding? I love Madame Gao.)
I even ended up wishing for another season which the Netflix gods granted. Well, if they hadn't, I wouldn't have found myself sitting across from Finn and Season 2 showrunner Raven Metzner for a MYXclusive interview during their visit to the Philippines last July.
While the British actor admitted in past interviews that he had little time to prepare before shooting Season 1, it's definitely not the case now since he has played the same character in three different shows! "It kinda feels like he never left me. I went from Iron Fist to The Defenders straight into Luke Cage (Season 2, Episode 10) and then straight into Season 2 of Iron Fist. So he's always a part of me," said Finn about being back as Danny Rand.
Among the biggest criticisms that Season 1 received were for the action scenes which seemed lackluster for a martial arts series. (Where's Cynthia Luster when you need her?) But Raven is quick to assure fans: "This Season 2 is an evolution and I think that we grew a lot of things. One of the things that I think people are gonna really, I hope, enjoy is the action has really evolved."
They definitely delivered on the fight scenes in this new season while the chemistry between Danny and Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, remains one of the best things about the show. "It was really great to come on to a project like this with a very dear friend of mine and I think that's why we work so well together," Finn shared about his history with Jessica who was also on GoT as one of the Sand Snakes.
Not everyone knows that the 30-year old actor is also an amazing DJ - which proved quite useful to his workmates. "When we had our wrap party, Finn deejayed that party and it was really tremendous," revealed Raven.
