Wow! KELSEY MERRITT Is First Filipina To Walk At Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
Finally! Our hopes of having a fellow Filipina walk the annual, well-publicized Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is now a reality thanks to model Kelsey Merritt.
On September 3 (Monday), the Filipina-American model confirmed via Instagram that she had been called back for the second round of castings.
Today is the day! Good luck KELSEY MERRITT. She attended the second day of callbacks for 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This year the show is back in New York. #GiveKelseyHerWings (©️ @piawurtzbach sa pa hashtag)😊 📸 Timur Emek | Gotham #KelseyMerritt #VictoriasSecretFashionShow2018 #VictoriasSecret #VSFS2018 #powerhousePH
And FYI, here's Kelsey looking like an angel in an all-white ensemble during the first round of casting calls. No wonder this lady got a callback.
We're so excited to witness her slay the runway as one of this year's Angels as she has officially announced via social media that she was chosen to walk this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
WE DID IT PHILIPPINES!!!!!! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 What an honor it is to be the first Filipino to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018!!! Ahhhhhh I can’t believe this!! Thank you soooo much @johndavidpfeiffer, @monica.mitro, @10magazine, and Ed Razek for making my dream come true!! ❤️❤️❤️ And to my agents at @suprememgmt @nomadmgmt @romanyoung @david_kimm @marissasurmenkow thank you for believing in me and being there for me throughout this journey!! 💕🙏🏼
Kelsey just recently started working for the storied lingerie brand's activewear line, Victoria's Secret Sport, and has since appeared in its numerous promotional materials.
Aside from the Ateneo graduate, Miss Universe 2012 1st runner-up Janine Tugonon also appeared in an ad for Victoria’s Secret little sister line, PINK, back in 2016. Sadly, she didn't make the cut for the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Paris on that same year. Filipina-Italian model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez also modeled for the brand.
